Coccidiosis

Coccidiosis is one of the most costly diseases in swine production.
Pigs ingest sporulated oocysts which cause damage in the intestinal tract. When the villi in the small intestine are damaged, it reduces the capacity of the villi to absorb nutrients. This can result in stunted growth, diarrhoea and mortality. Sub-clinical coccidiosis is associated with reduced growth rates. Decreased oocyst shedding is key for reducing the risk of clinical and sub-clinical coccidiosis.
Our iron/coccidiosis injectable combination is used to prevent iron deficiency anaemia and to reduce oocyst shedding and the clinical and sub-clinical effects of coccidiosis.
