Soluchlor is an oral powder containing 150 mg/g chlortetracycline hydrochloride. It is indicated in calves <6 months in the treatment of respiratory disease in calves caused by Pasteurella sensitive to chlortetracycline. The recommended therapeutic dose is 20 g per 150 kg body weight divided into twice daily doses for 7 days. The product should be mixed thoroughly into a part of the daily feed ration and should be administered prior to the feeding.
