Olga Burke, MVB was awarded the Veterinary Medicine prize for achieving the highest grade in Small Animal Veterinary Medicine. The recipient of the Interchem Veterinary Nursing award for the highest mark in Small Animal Medicine BSc Veterinary Nursing was Caroline Dobson, RVN.
Olga Burke MVB is from Galway. She grew up on a farm of mainly horses and a few beef cattle. She always had a big interest in showjumping and the equine breeding industry. She enjoyed all aspects of veterinary over the past 5 years. It opened her eyes to the many different career paths. She plans to begin her career in mixed animal practice to gain as much experience as possible. She says she's thoroughly looking forward to seeing what life as a vet has in store.Â
Caroline Dobson, RVN is from a small town Mohill in County Leitrim. She is currently working in Emma Plant Veterinary Hospital Killoe Co. Longford. She has a particular interest in small animal anaesthesia and is very eager to undertake further study in this area.
Interchem strives to support the veterinary profession in education and upskilling, by hosting CPD events, webinars, clinical society meetings and open days, as well as through awards such as these. Interchem would like to congratulate both Olga and Caroline on their respective awards and want to wish them the very best in their future careers and endeavours.
